MARIIA BEDRATENKO
Celebrity & Bridal Makeup Artist
Allow me to introduce myself: Mariia, a makeup artist with over six years of experience. My passion for makeup runs deep, and I've worked tirelessly to perfect my craft. My journey has been far from easy, filled with twists and turns, but I've always remained steadfast in my pursuit of excellence.
I was born and raised in Ukraine, and from a young age, I was drawn to the art of makeup. As a little girl, I would spend hours drawing and painting Barbie books, captivated by their stunning faces and looks. As I grew older, I honed my skills and began painting large pictures that were exhibited in school and city exhibitions.
My path to success wasn't a straight line. In 2014, I moved to the United States at the age of 19, determined to make a life for myself. I worked multiple jobs to survive, but I knew deep down that makeup was my true calling.
In 2017, I began my career with private master classes by the talented MUA artist Daria from Ukraine. The same year, I attended the London Makeup School in Rosemont, IL, to become officially certified. I signed up with a modeling agency in Chicago, but things didn't go as planned, and I almost gave up on my dreams.
However, I persisted, and in 2020, I was hired as the primary makeup artist at AKIRA SHOP.
My work at AKIRA was streamed live for several months on the billboard at Times Square in NYC in 2022 - still a sureal moment for me, that I’ve dreamed of all my life!
Throughout my career, I have been featured in renowned publications such as Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Scorpio Magazine, Volant, and LadyGunn, to name a few.
I have honed my skills under the tutelage of some of the biggest names in the industry, including Nikki_Makeup, Jordan Liberty, Roshar, Goar, Piminova, Yana Panfilovskaya, and Serdar Kombarov.
There's nothing quite like the feeling of being entrusted with someone's special day, whether it's a bride walking down the aisle or a client preparing for a big event. Being able to use my skills and expertise to make them feel confident and beautiful is a true privilege, and I am deeply grateful to all those who have given me the honor.
But my journey doesn't stop there. In 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to start working with the biggest company in the industry, L’Oréal Matrix. It's a testament to the years of hard work and dedication I've put into perfecting my craft. I'm not just any makeup artist - I bring a unique perspective and a personalized touch to every client I work with, and I am committed to making them feel their absolute best.
